just learning please critique

I'm just learnig about shooting flowers please tell me what you think, I'm not good at post processing so all I have done to these is crop and resize , oh yeah shot with Canon S1 IS

Very nice subject. Gorgeous, vibrant colours. I would try playing with the dof a bit more. chose one flower in the bunch ofthe first photo, to be the main subject (ie have one flower in focus, over the rest), and the same with the centre of the flower in the second.

Also, try playing with the aperture a bit more, or the shutter speed.

I think the one with water drops in it is great! yeah, I too like to see a nice blur around a flower. But I think these work too!

#1 I'd try using a white card to bounce some light into the blossoms at the bottom, + move left or in to get rid of the distracting green at the top-right.
#2 Try to MF on the center & use a smaller # f-stop to throw the background more OOF.
Both are nice, though.
