No more message from this guy.

And you already know what I think.

I really, really like the 2nd one, with the motion blur. Very intense. I'd do some cropping, maybe take out all that space on the right, but still leave the singer off-center to the left a bit.

Nice job, though!

I like all three however the first is a bit dark and I'll have to agree with Derfel about the second. Crop out the right side.
Don Ellis will likely appreciate these as he had a similar post a while back with some jazz performers.

I like this ... but .. the portrait view is weaker that the earlier posts that I have lsited below. Why? Too close and it fails to convey intensity of action and immersion. Sould be the venue.. limited colors. .,. no spots, etc.

Close however and better than anything that I have done.

Take a look at:

Yeah,
There is a big difference in concerts there, heh.
I was seeing a local band called Rocket From The Crypt at a very small venue/bar (200 capacity) called The Casbah and the place was packed. I could not move one inch, heh. And they don't have huge video screens and crazy light shows. Just honest down to earth rock. So I was limited to the extremely low light/few red lights and my bounce flash. Good time though.

I like the first photo best. It would be great with some cropping. I like the expression on the guys face. I don't like the blurred photo that much. The blurring looks more like a mistake than intentional. The third photo has nice composition, but the colors seem a little off. The third pic might work better in black and white.

Considering the limitations you were under, low light, confined space, it looks like you did a great job.
