I have no problem with MF on macro, I'm assuming as a fair priced old lens it will be built pretty solidly, and has 1:1 where my current 100mm pentax is only a 1:2...

Are you shooting film then? Looks like you will have to get an adapter if shooting DSLR.

Sorry, no using a 400D, adapters are available though, basically just looking for some good glass with at least 1:1, though I can use tubes for more...

The problem is you will not get auto stop down, so you will end up having to focus stopped down with a very dark viewfinder.
Of course you loose infinity focus also and need to get an adapater.
