These are some of the better shots I got Friday night. I'm having problems making adjustments on the fly, so the flash was too strong on some of them. Comments always welcome.

The lying flat on your stomach idea is interesting.. except we don't have but one TURF field in the area and our guys won't be on it until deep into the playoffs.. the grass/dew is too much for that on the rest :)

This wasn't turf, but it just happened to be dry on this particular night. Most nights here are not like that.

What were the settings on your camera, flash for these shots? Nice work.

Most of them were taken at 1/250, f4.0 or 4.5 with the flash set at 1/4 power. There were times when I had to go to 3.5 or 3.2 when the action was farther away from me.

That's some really low cut grass for natural surface.. that's why I thought it was artificial.. some reason I didn't see the sod flying in #1 and blades of grass in #2 before!

I think it is some type of bermuda. It's not our home field, so I'm not entirely sure.

Great shots all around, I am going to be shooting my first nighttime football game this weekend so thanks for the info.
