DPR has a new review of the Sigma DP2 (http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/sigmadp2/), and compares it to the Olympus E-P1 (as well as the Ricoh GRD III, and Sony DSLR 330). It will be interesting to see how the G11 and S90 would compete in these tests, someday.

Due to the different lenses, the crop comparisons seem wrong (different cropping). Couldn't really tell which is better.
Can't really compare a P&S to the PEN, which is really a Interchangeable Lens Camera.
They should fix the crops so we can make a more direct comparison.

I wouldn't call the DP2 a point&shoot. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of a p&s. No auto mode, no AF assist light,... or all the other stuff like face detection.
I don't really agree with that dpr review.
I own a DP2 myself. I love it. Yes it's slow and has some other limitations but I never saw a compact camera with better IQ.
The large (for a compact) foveon sensor is wonderful.

The DP cameras are unmatched by any camera.
There is a certain Depth in the images that other cameras lack.
I'm talkin IQ only......
The Pen is a great camera and I am really getting what I want from digital imaging with it.
A better comparision would be the Pen and the GF1.
The DP's beats both in terms of IQ.
I made the mistake of selling my DP's.
But I'll have them again.....

Yeah, why didn't Sigma use an interchangable lens mount???? And why has nobody else picked up on the Foveon sensor? In the meantime the Pen will have to do.

The lack of interchangable lenses gets me but I understand why the foveon isn't popular. I can't imagine it's easy to market to anyone who doesn't have a real understanding of camera sensors. Even an enthusiast might have trouble understand how the large drop in resolution would be worth going foveon instead of a bayer sensor.
