on my way home last night I snapped a few pictures. This one was my favorite:

Nice shot, but I think ground Zero is below the picture. I'd like to see ground level, see what is happening to the place I lost 343 brothers.

Yea.......That is about all you can see now with the fences. I can try to buy/bribe my way up into one of the neighboring highrises, but that's going to take a while.

I like the 2 cranes in the center of the shot and how they reflect the light.
On another note, I was there last week, desperately trying to find some type of pic. After circling the perimeter and not wanting to shoot through glass, I found only one spot that had any type of view, and it wasn't much, just some concrete going on. Here is the link.

We did find some buildings that had a decent view from the mezzanines, but not open air. I felt kind of uneasy about running around just to get a good shot. I think the whole incident has become such a huge part of our lives though, that its hard not to want to bring something back to share, like a visual memory.

mjjstan, i like your shot also. It shows whats going on. here in michigan i never get to see anything. so as a fire fighter anything is better than nothing at all.
