Collage help please.....?

Can anybody give a quicke leson on photo collages please, because i have a wedding to do in July and have been impressed with some wedding shots i've seen in the past where you get the Bride and Groom on a Champagne glass or a music sheet or a shot of the ceremony inside and then the happy couple looking down onto the ceremony, but anything like that would be great?
