Another of our late afternoon storms, I could hear the rain and hail echoing through the hills as I depressed the shutter.............
Apologies about the file size and artifacts, having some issues with this one:o

Ye ole' kit lens Leo.....unfortunately the only lens I own:(
EXIF- Do you really want to know :o
F8, 1/500, ISO 800
It was one of those, 'I forgot about ISO from the night before' moments, was such a newb that 1/500 flashing in front of my eyeball didn't even give it away. They were a good series of shots and I came home bitterly disappointed that I'd done something so stupid, have never done it again. But hey, at least it was a Canon at ISO800 ;)

i'm a complete new comer to cameras :P
whats "F8, 1/500, ISO 800"
mean? F8 = no idea.
1/500 is the shutter? mine goes from -2 to +2. :\ lol
and ISO = mine goes from 50 to 400 but i dunno what it does, kinda makes photos lighter with 50, yeah? :\

Sorry Matty....each step up in ISO makes your digital camera's sensor twice as sensitive to light ie. ISO200 has twice the sensitivity of ISO 100, ISO 400 has twice the sensitivity of 200 etc
Try this page for an explaination of exposure

Possible ;) I've enjoyed your gallery too John, some impressive work there. Scotland looks like a truely breath-taking country.
