I just upgraded from the DRebel to a 20D and had to torment one of my cats to try it out. This is Tommy (yeah, I know what you're thinking - "real original, he named his cat Tom") well, he's a used cat so we didn't get to name him. He's a great cat but camera shy and runs away when the camera comes out. This is my best shot of him. This has been cropped about 35% with levels and 3 stage sharpen in PS CS.
20D, 100-400L, 420EX, 400 ISO, bounced flash.

"stupid Cat picture" ???? That is a really nice pic, I am not much of a cat fan but I like the pic, has a very calendar feel about it. Great job and enjoy your 20D........Joe

Yes a great cat shot, I like the term "used cat" :-) don't worry about the silly name, we called on of our "Puss", so stupid can you get. Anyway have fun with the 20D and leave poor Tom alone.

We also have two other used cats - both named Calvin ("this is our cat Calvin and this is our other cat Calvin"). Over the years we've had three Calvin's and two Tom's - all used cats. You almost need a program to keep them straight.

Nice shot. I like the color. Well, he doesn't look stupid at all though! Congrats on your upgrade. Thanks for sharing.

Thanx for the kind words. As you say, he's not stupid at all. Probably one of our smartest cats ever. He's smart enough, and cat enough, to know when I want him to sit still - which, of course, is not going to happen. It's in their cat contract somewhere that they have to be ornery.
