I have a new Canon 50d. I also have an older Sunpak Auto611 Thyristor. I understand the voltage of the flash may be to high for the camera. It may damage the camera. Is this ture, and if so is their anything I can do to reduce the voltage? So that I can still use this flash.
Thanks Dave

I have the safe sync that I bought so I could trigger my studio lights with an xti. It works fine. At that price though you really should ask yourself if spending $50 to use that flash is a good value when you would be about half way to a new flash (depending on the brand you pick).
