Hey all,

I have a cheap-o knockoff China made remote that has a N-3 plug on it for my 20D. On the part you hold in your hand, it has a small plug that looks like a 1/8" jack, but it's slightly smaller I do believe. It looks something like what is in the photo attached.

Now my question, is 1.) what kind of jack is that, and 2.) what kind of cable do I need to connect to the 1/8" camera port in my pocketwizards and where could I get it? Or should I just make it?

Thanks for the help! I'm just trying to get a set up working well before basketball season.

Pop it open and see how its wired, post some pics of it, then we can see how it works and make some suggestions...

Is this so you can trigger the PW without using the test button?

I just cut mine in half in the middle of the cable, fit a 3.5mm stereo plug to one end and a 3.5mm stereo socket to the other end so it will connect to any trigger with standard 3.5mm cables

Well I figured I could cut it up, but I'm mainly referring to the jack in the side right there. I'll still open it up and take some pics. But I figured if I could make some sort of cable to go in that side jack to the camera port, then I would have a working remote still that I could focus with for when I'm close to the camera.

Gromeo, this is so I could have one PW on the hot shoe of the camera in hand, and a pocketwizard linked into the N3 port on a second camera, so when I shoot the camera in hand, the second one goes off which will be put somewhere behind the backboard for basketball.

I feel like I'm doing an awful job explaining, haha. Sorry about that.
