Is it just me, or do hardly any of those shots look decent?
*edit* - These shots are 5 years old.

Those pics don't match the quality expected out of that guy. At all.

I think after looking at the pics, in Ken's defense he may have gone with a point and shoot and then cropped the heck out of the airplane shots.
In which case, why bother trying to get close up air show shots with a point and shoot? He should know the limits of his gear and just enjoy the show and snap a few shots of his family and such.
But then again, gear doesn't matter unless it's a Leica M9 right?

Like I said in another Ben Jocksmell thread...Ken Rockwell is the worlds greatest professional snapshot artist.

People may slate him, but I think his lens reviews are quite good. They're realistic, and don't centre on pixel peeping like so many other peoples.

That's what I want to see/read from guys like Brian C. from the-digital-picture.com. He does his crazy lens tests so I can scroll down and see if he approves then bust out the credit card :-):-)
Those shots from KR are not good at all.

Tee Why, why the heck would you post a thread about the 2004 Miramar Airshow in 2009?

I don't think I've ever seen a single shot from Ken Rockwell that was good. I have no idea how he became such an internet phenomena... probably because of his crazy "reviews".
He kills me, many times he'll "review" items he's never seen in person. If you take anything the guy says seriously (he even admits his site is a joke)... and you make a purchasing decision based on one of his "reviews"... you're in trouble. :)
