Well I spent an extremely wet day at Croft Circuit yesterday for the BSB media day, the action was a bit subdued because of all the standing water on the track but I still managed to get some shots

All taken with Canon 1DMKII & 100-400 lens

Tried a few in portrait mode

and finally

Cheers
Ian

Nice photos, Ian. I like the portrait mode but it sure makes you work, doesn't it?

Another fine selection of pics Ian... looks like very challenging conditions for both the riders and the photographer! Shot #4 really says it all for me... super stuff!

Awesome shots Ian - the water just adds to it and the spray effect off the back tyre is lovely to see :) Mal

Great shots Ian... The water has made the shots even more interesting imo. Did you use anything to reduce water reflections/glare?

good to see Lavilla is still as hungry as he was at the start of the season.

WOW Ian you got some great shots, It was a great day and thanks to the rain no crowds to get in my way i was there with my EOS 350d and std lens kit getting wet. you may have seen me and a couple of other "snappers" i was in a blue sweatshirt no coat and carrying a brolly. I started at Tower and then the complex and finnished of at chicane. I had to use ISO 1600 for most of the time but got plenty of panning practice at ISO400 1/350ths.

hope thes arn't too big guys.

this is my 1st real day out with this kit i am used to Sony 1 megapixel camcorder stills and a Practika MTL3 75-260 hoya f/5.6

anyone else got some that day?

regards

Correct Rob.

Top quality pics there... i particularly like the two showing Lavilla catching Laverty ... i can almost see waht Laverty's saying as he's looking over to see Lavilla coming by ;)
