You said it wasn't finished yet, so why not finish it and THEN ask for a critique? You really need more content/photos. As it is right now it's boring, sorry.

I could not get the images to load.
The squrespace logo in the browser looks cheap
Need more depth to the images.
Finally, would adding one or two more hierarchal layers be better. e.g. 'photographs' then to different categories, such as portraits.
Thankfully, no lame music.:)

Agreed.
And please, please, no matter what anyone says, do not add music to your site.

it is good the way it is. do not, Do Not, DO NOT add music!
i thought the gallery function was a little clunky. i have a pretty fast machine and transitions were not smooth.
What is most confusing to me is your "about" page... on your home page you call the business "mauro stucci photography", but when you get to the "about" page, you say "studio photo digital"... you need to make up your mind what you are going to go by.
if you are trying to sell your services to jewlery/watch makers, you need to do a little more research on that kind of photography. the thing i noticed right off the bat was your watch hands are not in the right place. 99% of all professional watch photos have the hands at 2 & 10. it's a dead give away that you do not know what you are doing.
i did wonder about the categories as well. "jewlery" and "products" kind of made me think you are selling something other than photography. perhaps as rwatkins said, you should do a link such as "galleries" and have a sub heading for "jewlery" and "products".
good luck
