These are some of the first HDR images I have done. Weather was pretty gloomy so they are rather dark, and that is what I was going for slightly. Just wondering what you guys thought, and any suggestions. Both were heavily processed. I could have made them more natural, but just playing around trying to learn really.

The next one offers very little contrast, but hey, the boat was pretty close to the cloud colors. I am only using photomatix and LR. I know there is a world of opportunity for PS to come into play, but I need to learn the basics first. Also my 18mm and traffic behind me were limiting factors of not getting the whole ship into frame.

They are really dark..but the first one is cool..and the second is pretty funky! A little light, these are fun shots.

Good shots framing and mood wise. The over-cooked tonemapping does not float my boat at all however. You can still get the same dramatic effect and such without making it extremely obvious that these are processed digitally.

I like the SR-71 shot but it is a bit too dark. But maybe it should be since the image is sinister.

Thanks for the comments guys. That's the great part of photography, I'll always have the originals of everything I shoot, (that is worth saving anyway) so as my editing skills improve, I will be able to come back to these. I agree the actual shot of the sr-71 is pretty decent, but the Intrepid could have used a slightly wider angle lens and better framing.
