FINALLY figured out how to mount them both...

Even a little Nikon flavor added...

Read on the forums and it seemed to be you had to choose one or the other. If you read the install guide for a strap and hand-grip it comes with everything to install both.

Best of both worlds! Crumpler Industry Disgrace and Canon E-1 Hand Grip/Strap. After shooting with Mike I had to pick up the Nikon microfiber 'baggie'. Great product to have on the camera strap.

I've been using a Pacsafe strap and a Markins handstrap together for a year now.

E1 strap with R strap or CC here so there's no need for weird tying and what not.

Agreed. Though after a few times of putting it together and taking it apart (to get a small non gripped camera) it becomes natural.

I use the Hakub handstrap and POTN neckstrap for years. Pacsafe is only for urban shooting, but I have one of those, too.

I recently got a Cheap hand strap just to see if I like it , and I really do like using it it's in use with the Neck Strap .

The Hand strap has a slot on the tripod mount side so that the Neck strap can be used , set up is Hand strap on the Camera Right side and Neck Strap on the left .

This is the Hand strap .

Directions are supplied in the manual for the grip. There's also a thread here (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=57766%3E) on the process.

I got the instructions from a google search that lead me to a Flickr! page. Someone on here directed me to the 1DsIII .PDF manual available through Canonusa.com. I didn't get a manual with my grip as it was used :o

I prefer the .PDF file as you can zoom in on it pretty close.

I'm glad I never read any threads about having to have one or the other. I'm using a regular neckstrap and a camdapter without any additional hardware. I just put one strap on top of the other and pulled them through the metal loop.
