First post here on POTN....Pretty new to the photo scene and was reading about HDRs. So wanting to take a crack at it here is my first HDR photo using photmatix's trial version, so CC is always welcome..And WoW there is some great info on this site.....Cheers

Welcome to POTN ME2, and well done for posting a pic with your first post!
As to your shot, what settings did you choose, as it doesn't strike me as very "HDR"? I don't use Photomatix (I'm a GIMPer!) so don't know their software, but I'm pretty sure you could whack up the effect some more!

Welcome to POTN ME2, and well done for posting a pic with your first post!

Thank you, And no, the building was once an old machine shed for the Chicago/Cheyenne RR main which ran a few hundred feet from my property...But I do have an old out house in my back yard that I will post at a later date

Very nicely done. There is some loss of contrast in the grass and weathered planks, but no biggie for a first try.
