I liked this shot a lot, but my wife said that the awning ruined it. They are setting up for Speed Street (a kind of mini-Nascar-Festival before the big race this weekend.)

Keep or bin?

Nice sharp shot, I can see why you like it, but the awning does kinda cut the shot in half. But if you like it keep it.

I thought the awning was cool because it separated the stone of the man-made building above from the nature scene of the little park beneath. The clock spans the two giving it some continuity.

Hah!! Do you really think I'm going to get between you and your wife on that one?

No way.

The awning doesn't really seem to belong in the picture, but if you're trying to create a visual paradox, then.....

Nope. Forget I said anything; I'm not gonna' go there.

May have had redeemimg aspect if you used a ultra wide lens. But it still has way too much in it. Stones, flowers, brass, clock, awning, windows, water feature, kitchen sink, etc etc.

I road my bicycle through the speed street setup this afternoon and had two guys tell me I had to leave. Was hoping to get some pics, had my camera with me.

I think I agree with your wife. Sorry.

I've never lived through Nascar weekend in Charlotte. My friends told me it's best to leave town this weekend.

The awning is just too strong. The scene is just too busy for me to see any of that. Trust you're wife's eye.

Peace,
