I have filmed many short videos with our S50 and would like to be able to share them with others, either by e-mail or burning them onto a disc in a format that even my computer challenged Dad would be able to open view on his own computer.

Surely there must be a way to do this without having to invest a weekend and download tons of different software? Right?...Fellas?

Hmmm. If I remember correctly this file extension is either .avi or .mpg for this. In either case there is no problem using (gasp!) Mr. Bill's Windows Media player to view these.

You should not need any conversion at all. Just burn them to a disk and double click from explorer to play (assuming media player is your default player).

I have the S70 with the same video format .avi, just burn to disk, close disk and bamn, you got a working video for and windows media player, or other media player.

If your really good you can do some encoding and transfer it to a Mpeg-2 and burn it to DVD to be played on any DVD player.
