Went over to the zoo yesterday after work with my wife and kids. I'm sure glad that my 9 yr old daughter likes to visit the reptiles. The glass was rather dirty but this came out pretty decent I think. I'd love to be there right after they clean the glass!

Dirty glass at the zoo is a pain..Great pic though. Can you remember what sort of snake it was?..Was it actually that yellow colour?

Thanks. It was either an African bush viper or a yellow eyelash viper if I remember right. Yes, it was that color, that is what got my attention to take a pic.

Hey Zach, I was worried about the same thing when I was there, but found that the condition of the glass really didn't hamper my efforts much.
Nice shot...

Sometimes this isn't a good idea... Some exhibit that are made of acrylic scratch easily, and are a pain to buff back out (3 step process). When I did an internship in college, we had to use special rags and solution for cleaning the exteriors.
PS: nice shot w/ razor thin DOF!
