This was my daughters first soccor game of the year, she did great and had a lot of fun. My question is what settings do you recommend for these shots, It was a nice bright day no overcast.

For this I'd be using Av, f/4, and the lowest ISO possible while keeping the shutter around 1/500, AI Servo, center focus point, RAW. The wider aperture will help blur out the distracting backgrounds which I find is the biggest problem with youth sports.

Try some tighter crops, too. I'm at 200mm 90% of the time if I happen to be using my 70-200 for baseball and lacrosse.

Also, check your level. #1 is tilted quite a bit. Use the building as your guide to straighten that one and then crop it tighter.

AV or Manual(once you get better at metering the situation for sports).

You need atleast like 1/500 of a second. Watch for backgrounds of course. If you don't have a monopod, get one. They are very helpful in a sport like soccer.

I agree with pcasciola, except for the shutter. With out a monopod I would try for 1/800 or a little higher, especially if you’re shooting in bright sunlight.
