We had another photoshoot with 9 Camaro owners this past Sunday. Unfortunately the sun went behind a thick blanket of clouds just before we were getting ready to shoot :(. We plan to do another shoot with the sun hopefully soon.

I hate having to have a front plate here in Va, but i's sugget taking them off for your next shoot.

Thanks. Yeah I know what you mean. I never run one though and ironically had gotten pulled over and ticketed for it just this past Saturday. This will be the 5th time in 8 yrs that's happened. I just show up to court with a pic of it on the car and they throw out the fine. Also got a ticket for "inadequate exhaust" at the same time.

I know can you believe that! Darn cop was at the 7/11 when I went to get gas coming home from BK. She took a look at my car as she got out and I knew she was looking for a front tag. I hurried and got out of there before she was even coming out. Unfortunately I had to wait at Wellington and Devlin at the darn light and here she comes up beside me 2 minutes later. ARRGGGGHHH! I thought about doddling around inside or something till she left but I wasnt sure what to do as it seemed she was no way near ready to leave the store. Next time I wont stop at that station with my T/A. If I didnt need gas, or I'd gone to a different station I'd been good. She followed me all the way up Devlin, Linton Hall and then turned when I went to worthington. She pulled me over near the darn school. She said "oh you have split our exhaust." I said what??? she said yeah you have 4 pipes. I said those are quad tips..what you're hearing mainly that makes the car loud is the cam and she looked at me like she had no clue what I was talking about.

Some cops just have to mess with muscle cars. If they can't find you doing anything wrong they make something up. What asses they are. Hope you can beat the ticket.

Aww geeze thats tough luck. I never understand any of that cause Harleys and custom choppers are straight piped and 300x louder than mine or even yours for that matter. Oh well.

BTW can you tell Tim Im sorry I havent called. Things have been off for me lately and Im looking at buying a truck so the Koni's may have to wait on the TA but I still am thinking of having him check over the brakes and get his opinion.

What did she actually write you up for? Illegal exhaust and no front plate?

Forumforker I'll beat the tickets. The cop even said all I had to do was show a pic of the exhaust change and a work order so I'll have one made up ;). For the plate I just show a pic my car with a front plate on it. I had to do that last summer. They are asses which is why I have the plate I have on my daily driver :p. I'll have to post a pic of it.

Jason...I'll let Tim know. He has alot of stuff going on right now too so it's alright but he did comment that he hadnt heard from you. The donut eater wrote me up for "inadequate exhaust" and no front plate display. I even told her I just got it back from the paint shop and showed her the plate that I keep on the backseat. She didnt care because she's a typical oink oink

#2 would rock with an extremely shallow DOF and/or a lack of trailers in the BG.

Ehh what can ya do but send in the pic with the plate on. Front plates are worthless anyways. Just one more VA law that blows. What are the stipulations for the exhaust? Do ya have to get it checked out or just pay the fine?

BTW the Sept POTM is going on at LS1Tech, ya gonna enter any of these? 2 pics allowed this month

I dunno haha apparently Phantom had a rough couple of months and couldn't spend the time organizing it. Apparently though all you have to do is post a crisp rolling shot and you win nowadays :rolleyes:

Tell me about it! It seems alot on that board have no understanding what make a good photograph. Alot of the submissions are terrible :(

Half the time some of the winners are bad IMO. I dunno, not much ya can do about it haha. I also love the "I think we should have a separate POTM with no photoshopping allowed". People seem to fail to realize that photoshop just does the job that darkroom editing used to do. It still requires skill, knowledge and time to perfect. Its just photography evolving.

Was it because you car was loud? I've heard lots of EVO owners in VA getting tickets for loud exhausts.

Thanks for the compliments. Brant yes it was because my car is loud. It has a SLP Loud Mouth exhaust, Si5 cam and SLP LT headers along with a lot of other mods. When it's started up stuff shakes above the garage and it scares people. Here's a link to a video of our first start up after we installed the cam back in 2007

Sounds real good. As long as you are going through a Cat and Muffler, I'm all good with it.
