Impact VSD160

Just wondering if anyone has hand on experienced with this kit. I read from some where that they are more consistent than the alienbees. I get one color or exposure shift for every 20-25 shots from my b800s.

I stumbled on to this thread and noticed that no one had chimed in yet. I don't have first hand experience with the Impact strobes but my understanding is that they are pretty good with consistent output and little to no color shift.

Personally, I would opt to spend a little bit more and get the Calumet Genesis 200 kit. They get consistently great reviews and take advantage of the Elinchrom mount if you should choose to use Elinchrom modifiers or upgrade to Elinchrom strobes. I believe there are kits available with either umbrellas or softboxes.

A quick search will pull up some reviews and lots of great feedback on the Genesis lights.
