Shopping for an umbrella/light stand/clamp is soooo much more difficult than buying a lens

Just pulled the trigger on the following stuff from mpex -
1 Interfit 8.5 ft Air Cushioned Light Stand $29.99
1 LumoPro LP632 Umbrella Swivel w/ Hot Shoe Adapter $16.99
1 Westcott 43" Collapsible Umbrella with Removable Cover 15" FOLDED $24.99

It's currently for my 430EXII (triggered by my 580EXII on camera) I wanted something that would work with my one speedlight, but somewhat fit into an "upgrade path" of either adding another speedlight or buying "real" Strobes (Alien Bees).

I like using E-TTL as I don't have to bother "guessing" the flash power (or having to buy a flash meter) and the battery aspect is nice.

Another path I may end up taking is to use BOTH Speedlights off-camera in manual triggered by radio triggers of somesort. This gets me more light than just the 430, and I don't need A/C power.

Now the waiting begings (hurry up UPS!)

Is there a question??

And you do realize that using radio triggers you lose ETTL and you'd have to "'guess' the power (or buy a flash meter)"

No question really, just excited about finally getting a "proper" set-up. And yes, I realize using radio triggers I won't have E-TTL, but I'd have the "portable" aspect of using Speedlights.

Try an ST-E2, it's worth the extra money.
