Hello forum,

I have a general question regarding saving and burning images for clients.

General overview: I shot images in RAW, processed in CS4, saved as jpeg. Clients would like a CD and they will be using COSTCO for printing their engagement picture.

My question: How do I save/burn the pictures accordingly for clients? Width, size, resolution etc....are there any other settings I need to be concerned about before burning them? I want to make it as easy as possible for them to print.

thanks!

In my wedding packages, I supply Full Res jpgs. Just a folder on disk labeled for Print. Costco should be able to figure out what files to use... Also include a print release. I burn mine as a PDF and include that on the disk as well.

I might advise to give 2 discs: 1 for small(er) prints, 1 for larger prints. I work at a store that prints pictures, and there are few things as agrivating as waiting on the kiosk to try and load 6+MB files. (For a good 8x10, one generally doesn't need anything over 1-1.5MB.)

You should use the COSTCO printer profile for that lab. And tell them, just before clicking on "Place Order" at the end to turn AutoCorrect off.

After you convert to the profile & when you are Saving As the jpg, UNCHECK the Color: ICC Profile box.

Thank you for the link and tip about COSTCO. I'm a member, but haven't used them for prints. :)
