I had someone ask me today if there was a way to get a bunch of old slides (like the ones you put in a slide projector) digitized?
Is there some sort of adapter out there that would allow you to take pictures of the slide with your camera?
Or some other device?

Thanks

Alternatively, there are 2 options available. Either use a dedicated slide scanner or use a flatbed scanner with an adaptor for slides. It would really depend on how many slides there are to be digitised. If there are only a couple, then I believe that there are companies that will do the job for you.

In my opinion, a dedicated slide scanner is the only way to go. I use a good one made by Canon.

I am using a slide/negative scanner to make videos on a CD of my parents/offspring vacations from the 60's that works quite well, but is time consuming due to the dust on the slides. However I did some new negatives from a friends wedding that went quite quick.

I vote for slide scanner.
