Does anyone have any ideas of how I can take pictures of fish through aquarium glass. Every time I try to take one it turns out bleary. I have tried with and without flash.
Thanks in advance.

I used a Tripod, No flash and "lot's " of lighting on the tank. I turned up the ASA rateing, but this just increased the noise levels...
not sure if you can attach images on the forum, I'll try and put a link up..

Since fishes are usually moving, I would not expect too many results without flash, even with lots of light..
I have had good results in two ways. Either move really close to the glass, basically the lens touching the glass, to avoid reflections by the flash. The other option is to separate the flash from the camera (not possible in every case) and set the flash on top of the tank (on the cover glass).

Here is an example of a Pelvicachromis pulcher that I took recently using method #1 (direct flash, camera touching glass) with a Powershot A40, and the lousy build-in flash. You can still see the flash reflection in the upper left corner.

Wow what a thread to discover, I was given a desktop aquarium to go next to my monitor and given that I photograph ANYTHING, this was going to be my next project.
If I come up with anything I'll post it here, thanks for the tips already though, I knew the glass would be a pain.

Do you have any thing that you can suggest to put between the lens and glass, I do not want to scratch the lens?

I did not REALLY touch the glass with the lens, I think I grabbed the lens with one hand to make sure there was still some space in between. Also, the A40 that I used for that particular picture has the lens more protected. For the G123, the lensmate adapter + UV filter might work better.
I don't have my G3 right now (returned it because of a stuck pixel), otherwise I would have a better answer.
