Hello,

This is my first post in this second era... Yes I knew the superb pictures from Pekka when he was using only the G1... like mine... it was 2001! ... then I lost the connection, and got used to post in a forum in my country (in my own language, which is much easier for me...)... well that forum seems to be dead, and I suddenly remembered Pekka, look for his name in google and found this, much newer forum. So I will start learning form you all.

I changed my G1 by a G5, and now, I'm considering to buy a 20D... but how long will Canon take in releasing a new XXD better and cheaper (or not) than the 20D??

Kind regards,

Welcome BACK. :D
Digicams seem to be going the way of the personal computer. six months after you bought it, it's outdated. I'm still using my 10D with no regrets. ;)

Well, I won't have any trouble remembering your name....

JLM are the initials of my wife's favorite cousin.

Canon appears committed to the idea of having a mid-level SLR, so I think it's safe to assume they will have a replacement for the 20D. I would expect it to be similarly priced to the current model, but with more refinements and possible more resolution.

Glad you came back to see what's going on around here.

Tanks for the comments.

This is an interesting place... after reading some of the posts, I see that there are a lot of 20D, but also a lot of 300 and 350... so, now my problem is harder as I have included the 350 in my list of candidates. And what to say about the lens to buy for one or the other...??

Regards,
