My First Photo Here

Hello all. I'm new here and i just got my EOS350d days ago. Still new in photography and would like some comments/critiques about my first photo here. This is a picture of my baby girl. Apeture at f/5.0 and shutter at 1/60. Lighting was a bit dark and not too sure if i uses flash. Took almost 50 shots before i got one thats focused. She was'nt sitting still. Anyway let me know what u think...

I agree and the B&W just makes it that much better. Way to go..Keep up the good work!

Nice shot and I agree it looks well in B&W. I assume the low light was the reason yougot so many shots that were out of focus before you got this one. The 350D auto focus if quite fast and accurate. You are lucky to have a lovely model to work with :-)

Thanks. Yeah the light was low. And actually this was in manual focus. All the auto focus ones are ok but a bit soft. I do have some problems with the 350D auto focus especially if i have it on all 7 points auto focus. Maybe i just need more time to practice and get used to it.
