Agree, #1. The second one is a little too washed out.

Thanks everyone! It was hard for me to decide which one i really liked. I was leaning towards the first just a tad more but figured others could help me in deciding which one. The second one i added a honey vintage color to it the first is more of a color version.

Still think you could bring a bit more contrast into the pictures, just a tad flat for my tastes. But as far as the choices displayed, I would choose #1.

I prefer the first, but agree with Chet. Since you have editing turned on, I did a small adjust to levels and contrast then boosted saturation a tiny bit.

The differences are pretty subtle, but i like the first one better.

Mind explaining your technique?

Mind explaining your technique?

Brought it into Light Room and adjust the WB, exposure, added some contrast, adjusted the clarity and saturation, did a bit of recovery and added a vignette, adjusted the levels and sharpened it a bit. Then I opened it up in Paintshop pro and desaturated around the nose and eyes, burned the irises and added a border.

Took about 7 minutes of play.

LOL. I actually debating for several minutes if i liked it with more contrast or not but ended up sticking with the first one. I do see how it looks a lot better with more contrast. Also i have no problem at all if anyone wants to edit the photo to show me what would look better ;).Great edit by the way.

Better. Also much of PP is personal preference, so if you are happy that's really what matters in the end. You have a great model for advancing your talents.

But there again, i like my portraits kind of soft and "dreamy" looking.
