A duck heads off into the sunset for the night.
This picture was taken at the Emmarentia Dam in Johannesburg, South Africa.
It was shot using a Canon EOS 20D with a Sigma 70-300 lens, using a focal length of 300mm on f/8.0, ISO-100, 1/640s exposure.
Conversion from RAW, resizing and framing was done in Photoshop.
A larger version along with some of my other pictures can be found at

Thanks for taking a look.

Ian, that's one of the most beautiful images I have seen on this forum.
That's not a casual remark, it's truly breathtaking.
If I had taken that shot it would be printed and framed A3 minimum.
Congrats, and, this is only the second time I have said this on this forum ( ask CDS ) WOW.!

Guys/Girls, what can I say? Thanks so much for your generous comments. I truly appreciate it. I have only been taking pics now for about 3-4 months and although I definitely liked this picture a lot, one is never sure how it is going to be critiqued. Not that that is a huge issue for me mind you, if I like something then that's good enough for me. However, to receive these comments is very special - thanks again guys.
