Isn't it strange how you develop a relationship with the birds around your garden. This guy was waiting for me to put some bread out when I got home from work and within seconds he flew down for it.
Unfortunately earlier in the year its mate was killed by a cat in our garden and since then we've stopped putting food out on the ground, it all goes on the bird table. I really hate the way cats kill for fun and not for food.
