I like to have my lenses snuggly padded up when i'm on the move or whilst working and they aren't in use, and have a healthy collection of the Lowepro padded lens cases. Whilst I know this lens comes with it's own hard case, that's not particularly practical to use in some circumstances, so was just about to order the Lowepro case 5 when I read one review saying his didn't fit in it!

So anyone know of any alternatives? I like the heavy padding of the Lowepro series and don't require anything with loads of extra features, just something I can put the lens in when it's off the camera to product it from the occasional bump sort of thing. I know in most circumstances in this situation it would get put in a camera bag, but I was genuinely curious if there was a lowepro-style padded lens case for this lens.

Cheers for any help!

I used a Think Tank Glass Taxi to hold and tote my 300 around. It is a great backpack that can easily be converted to hold other gear when you are not using it for the 300.

Cool, I was simply curious if there was an actual lens case for it, as opposed to a bag :)

TT also makes a lens changer for it, LC300. It is not as padded as the Lowepro lens cases. You might also look at Kinesis and Lightspeed.

I wasn't aware of those brands, and on a separate note some of that Kinesis gear looks interesting!

Thanks for that

Edit: Actually they make what i'm after, woo hoo! :)
