Hoping these show the sharpness of these two shots, the Cat taken with the cheap but L quality Canon 50mm mk2, the squirrel with expensive canon 70~200L f2.8 zoom, just shows quality can come cheap, i would recomend anyone to buy the 50mk2 as a cheap but fast lens, £55.00, [70~200f2.8 zoom £750 +], both shots taken with Canon EOS1MK2, comments welcome

Martin, the 50 mk II is sharp especially stopped down to f8.....but to compare it to the 70-200 f2.8 :?

I tell you what, I'll send you my 50 you send me yor 70-200 and we'll call it quits. :)

Very nice shots BTW.

Well wasnt realy trying to compare the two, just making a point, but for £55 quid its a bargain, PS i will think about your offer

The similarity of the two cat pictures is uncanny. In fact, I believe they are the same image.

Wonderful squirrel shot ... really well done!

The cat looks exactly like our cat ... uncanny resemblance, really.
