I took this shot yesterday and never gave it a second thought till I processed it tonight. This is how it came out of the camera apart from a crop and some sharpening.

I can just see the stem on the larger image and I suppose I could use the dodge tool to accentuate it a little more but its so short as it goes back into the photo.

What do you think? Keep and work on it or burn it to CD as "the one that got away!"

Sorry, doesn't do anything for me.

i think it's a very pretty flower but then again yellow is my favorite color.

i think you can keep it and save it to layer with something else or the other.

Generally I like it - but the yellow on my monitor is over blown and has lost all its detail. Not sure if that is just my equipment or if you could increase the detail of the flower by masking it and increasing the contrast.

Thanks for the comments so far but I'm still unconvinced.

Perhaps I should add that the flower is a Buttercup and it has very smooth, shiny, waxy petals which seem to have very little detail except around where they join the stem.

It's the fact that it seems to float that is of more concern - the longer you look at the image the stranger it seems to look - well it does to me.
