Thanks for the comments! Once we distracted him and he forgot about the hat, he was happy. I may post more once I have some time later.

Setup was one Dynalite 4040 set at lowest power (about 85w) on camera right (generic octabox), with foam core reflector camera left.

2nd 4040 (same power level) gelled behind him to color the back wall. I don't think we had a hair/backlight set up for these.

Taken with 450D and Tamron 28-75. Love this lens!

Have to agree that first shot is fantastic, all you needed is a bag full of "healthy" halloween candy in front of him to make it perfect.

Thanks! Good idea about the candy. I'll see what we can get when we get to taking pics of all the kids.
