Horse Race

Was invited to a horse race at Lismore (24/9/2009 NSW Australia) and took a few pictures. Overall I was not happy with the pictures i took.
The horses were just to fast ..
Anyway, processed a single RAW shot into a HDR(Photomatix) , cropped it and a small amout of PP. ( removed some powerlines etc)

I like this picture due to the way the muscle tones are highlighted

wow, lots of colors available with the jockey uniforms, this turned out very well I do say and great timing on the shot!

Being Lismore, the image should be a bit brighter. I think you have too much contrast in this image. It was a good action shot though.
Keen to see one you ARE happy with.

Might be my monitor, but seems a tad oversaturated and warm to me. Othwerise, I like it.

Very nice; I like the way you captured those horses in mid air. Also nice and clear with the added detail from the processing.

it was not by design, these horses were running very fast. I had set TV to 1/500, wished i had set it to 1/1000 ..
when i reviewed the shot when i got home (after a 5 hour flight) I got a nice surprise when i looked at this picture in detail and noticed the lead horses were in mid air

Excellent treatment, the colors do demand attention. Positively a WOW shot for me.
