need a ball head

decided on manfrotto 055m3 legs and nnow trying to decide on a ball head

was thinking the manfrotto medium proball

I really liked the feel of the manfrotto with adjustable tension control, but itsmuch heavier.

I appreciate your thoughts, and let me know of any good choices in the under 300 dollar price range that i'm leaving out

You should consider the 488RC2. I have it and love it. Worked great with the heavy 100-400 L.
