So I came home from work on this cloudy day and could hear the loud thunder from above. Not the greatest pictures but these were taken from a field at the end of my street. The Blue Angels will be at Willow Grove NAS for a show this weekend and they were doing a little practice. I just got the 70-200 F4L a week ago so I'm a little raw with it. I should have bumped up the ISO on this cloudy day but I was in a hurry and forgot. Rookie errors.

Ummmm... why are these so big and grainy. I reduced them to basically their minimum through photoshop and changed from 300dpi to 72 dpi. Guess that did not work. Any suggestions. What's the proper technique for posting on the forum.

Cahnging DPI is not going to give you the results you want...

In PS start with your full size image and simply select "file" "save for the web"
In the save for the web page resize the images using "pixels" and make them no more than 800 pixels wide... (better to do 700 or 600 really) then you will be able to get better quality too. (700 pixels wide @ 100kb can give decnet results) Try a quality setting of seven at 700 pixels wide,. that should get you under 100kb ;)

Ahhhhh!......That's much better. Thanks for the simple advice. Now I can post the pictures with a little more pride. A little help on the six plane formation. I know it needs some editing but I really like the formation. Have your way with it.
