Went out fishing yesterday with a buddy. Tagged along my camera and tripod and took a few pics. Beautiful evening, too bad the fish weren't biting.
I Decided to create an HDR of the landscape in front of where we were Fishing with 5 different exposures. Here's a comparison of 3 different HDR blending programs

Like the first best. It doesn't look so much like HDR (which usually doesn't appeal to me).

I prefer #2, #1 just looks like an underexposed image to me.

In person the scene looked like #1 but a bit more brighter but not as much as #2. It was a real peacful evening, i just wish i decided to bring bugspray.

yes! I like #2....
Great series man....
Now, did you take 3 shots at different settings or did you use a software that would create these images for you...
I know there is one out there but can't remember the name....
Great Pictures as usual!

Thanks for the feedback jackie
I used 5 different exposures using the exposure braketing script for CHDK. Forgot to set up CHDK to save RAW so I had to use JPEG's :( but oh well still ended up nice :)
Dynamicphto HDR lets you create a pseudo-HDR from a single JPEG or RAW file.

I think Photoshop's image looks the most natural for sure.

Agreed, I find that with Photomatrix it makes them too unrealistic. I prefer the subtle HDR images
