This is a shoot of my three month old daughter. I'm still a newbie to say the least. I attempted shooting with an off camera flash for fill with the natural light I had on the indoor ones. Most of them came out way too underexposed and lacked sharpness. Good thing I shot in raw so I could salvage several of them. Not too sure what settings I had wrong there, but that's for another discussion. They looked fine in the preview, but not when I viewed them in DPP. I'm looking for some feedback on exposure and white balance. I can already see some are off, but me and the wife like them :).

I should have cloned out the blanket she's laying on. I can still to that I suppose. Here is the rest of the set...

I am still learning too, isn't it great to have a live in model to practice on? only mine is now old enough to run away and hide....lol. for what it's worth (being a rank ami) I like the first picture the best.

I like nr. 2 the best. I am not a fan of nr 1, coz I don't like it when babies "do" something that's not natural for their age... like sitting up at 3 months...

You will still have LOADS of time photographing her sitting up... just capture the things they naturally do at this age... I know it's not much LOL I also suppose it's a personal choice, but for me it's a nah.

Don't have advice on your exposure and WB issues...sorry
