Coupla Birds

I was out walking the dog tonight and got my first in flight shot. I wish there was more detail in the second one (the top bird's kind of a blob) but I liked the composition.

Nice shots....This may sound like a stupid question , but how do you carry your camera and lense since it is quite a long and heavy lense? I just got the 70-200f/4 and find myself usually carring it around by the lense itself. It feels awkward to hold by just camera.

Actually, when walking around I just sling it over my right shoulder and steady the lens with my hand. SometimesI it's kind of hard with the dog leash in the other hand to unlimber the camera when a shot presents itself------particularly when the dog is pretty interested in the bird as well, although for different reasons.
