Thoughts? (Baby photo)

Just wondering what's good & what's BAD about this photo?

The wife "Loves" it. (I'm guessing because of the subject, but that's about it)

I created a Channel Mixer Layer for the B&W, and set the opacity to 67%.

Also reduced the contrast/brightness to lose some of the background.

300D w/420EX, 50mm 1.8, ISO 200, F4, 1/160

While I can't give a technical critique, I just wanted to say that I love this photo. I've seen several of the baby and am always impressed. A very photogenic child.

Or, is she really that good of a model?(that she makes all my pictures pretty good)
