Probably best to post up a sample image of what you mean and list what you used to take the photo.

Thanks the pics didn't upload the first time.
I was shooting with a Canon XSI and a 70-200 f2.8 IS

Hi! Cute dogs!

It looks like your focus was a bit off in both photos. In the first photo, it looks like the focus is on the blue and white pole, and the second photo looks a tad soft (maybe this is a compression issue?) Were you using autofocus, or did you manually choose your focus point?

I can see from your EXIF that you were using an 'action program' which is good, because it gives importance to shutter speed, but the next time you get an opportunity, you could venture out and shoot in Tv or even Av, for more creative control.

They've both got a bit of motion blur, which is SLIGHTLY distracting, but that's to be expected seeing as how they're moving. Nicely done :D

I was using autofocus.
I'm still learning to use the camera settings.
I'll try in AV or TV next time.
Thanks for the feedback!!

They are OOF..not motion blur;) but getting on another setting will correct that.it is all about practice! And keep your ISO at 400 or better for the motion.

Thanks I've looked at those and many others. These two are not some of my better ones. I seem to have an issue with black dogs and white dogs.
I've noticed on some of the websites I've looked the dog photos seemed oversharpned to the point they don't look natural.

You had a very fast shutter speed. Were you shooting in AI Servo?
