Did Canon stop production of the non-IS version?
This lens seems to be gradually withdrawn from merchant websites. Or is it me?

I don't remember seeing it missing from any online retailers. In fact I just checked and B&H lists both the USA and Grey version of the non IS 70 - 200 f/2.8 as in stock and it's still listed on the Canon website.
I can't however find any of the upper end L's usually in stock at my local brick & mortor stores, but I live in a smallish (250k) town so that doesn't suprise me.
