I am looking at buying a Canon s410.I can buy it new for $269 Cdn/$213 US.That seemed like a pretty good deal. It is just for the average point and shoot pictures. Is there a limit on the size of the memory card that can be used? I was told not to use any generic Lithium ion batteries, only to use original Canon ones because it can damage the camera, any opinions! Thanks:D

I own an S400, which is basically the S410 without a DirectPrint button on the back.
Its a great take anywhere P&S.
BTW, you CAN use generic batteries with your camera and you can get them in higher capacities (they last longer) than the Canon batteries. The only thing the Canon batteries do better than the generic ones is drain your wallet faster. I've been using generics for 4 yrs now without a single problem in my long list of Canon cameras that I've owned/used: S100,S110,S200,S230,S400, S30, S45,A70,A80,G3,G5, and G6.

It would be a good idea to buy an additional battery. It discharges suddenly and you may be stuck.

I have an S410 and I think the picture quality is quite good for a camera of it's class. Imaging Resource has a good review on the S410.
