The Norwegian market is quite competitive, so I don't save anything buying elsewhere in Europe. But as I am going to China next week I was wondering if anybody had ANY experience? Found this for HK: http://www.ygdragon.net/index.php?page=photo/cameraprice.htm (http://www.ygdragon.net/index.php?page=photo/cameraprice.htm)
And the qoutations are quite good...
Looking for:
EF-S 10-22 mm f/3,5-4,5 USM
EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM
and possibly EF 50mm f/1,4 USM
I used to be almost addicted too my old 50mm f/1.4 NIKOR ...

So any pointers for Beijing would be much appreciated

Well... I'm in a similar situation to you, and have been asking the same questions.

I'll be off to Shanghai in about 3 weeks time, and I've found out that mainland China prices are about the "forget it" level. I didn't get exact prices, but was told it was more expensive than Europe.

I may be lucky though, there's talk of a stopover in Hong Kong for a Chinese visa. HK prices are among the best available, but some items are cheaper in the USA.

So... Beijing will be the same story as Shanghai, not good prices. If you can get to HK, you'll get what you're looking for there.
