I need to create a slide show and I am not sure what the best way of doing that is. I was thinking of using powerpoint but my concern is when the .ppt file is opened on different computers that have a different resolution than the one the file was created on the images will be distorted. Can powerpoint be forced not to stretch or shrink images?

My goal is to have a notebook computer running at on open house for winery and the vistors can scroll through the images manually or the slide show will run automatically when no input is given. I would also like to have the slideshow only exit with the 'esc' is pressed to help prevent things from being messed up.

Thanks for your help!

James

Since you don't want things messed up, Don't let people scroll through the images themselves. You really don't want people touching your notebook, Especially the self proclaimed computer experts that will be determined to "fix it"

If you do not need audio, have you thought about using one of those "digital frames" that you can put your memory card into?

they make them and u can download the video file and burn it on a dvd yourself or just play the video file off your computer...or they'll even burn it for you
