Here are a few from tonight with my 900mm telescope shooting prime. Turned the ISO down to 100 to eliminate noise as much as possible. Shots are at 1/15, 1/20 and 1/25 respectively. No PP work yet, just converted to JPG and cropped. Focus is as good as I could get with my scope...everytime I make a slight adjustment the dang planet would jump out of frame...lol

Is there any PP work that I can do to bring out the rings of color more?
I tried throwing my 3x barlow between the camera and scope and got frustrated by it being even harder to keep the thing in frame long enough to focus...lol. I need a better rig.

This kinda makes me feel better because mine looked like a big fuzzy orange ball at 280mm (had to digitally zoom in /couldn't see any lines of course).

lol...yeah, its kinda frustrating to get this close but just not have the right equipment to get it any sharper. You can just barely make out a few bands if you look at the pics hard enough....lmao

I wonder how much better you could get it with a webcam and stacking several thousand frames.

Is there any PP work
Play with the << curves >> in PP. You could also use ISO 400 without issues.

MUCH better with a webcam- only problem is jupiter is past opposition and not well placed this year in the north

Great work Sean, much, much better than my early attempts with a non-tracking scope. I know how frustrating imaging can be without a means to track. Reframing gets old fast.
A web cam is definitely the way to go with MANY frames stacked but tracking is needed to get the best results.
Here's what can be had using a 10" LX200 and a DSLR in a single exposure. The added focal length is a big help as well as good seeing conditions.

Here is one of the above pics after playing with curves, saturation and a little unsharp mask...
