How big??

Hi,
I have a D30 and I'm doing some pictures wich have to be print quite large... My question is, how big in centimeters (?) can I print a picture from my D30 shot in RAW - with a acceptable quality?

It definitely depends on what, where, why, and many other factors. Viewing an image is totally subjective. I just completed the Nikon School of Photography where this question was asked. As an experiment for a large Art Show in New York city last year, the instructors enlarged a 3 megapixel image– 5 stories large – draped on a building – with amazing results. Technically one can do the math to determine when the ‘actual’ image data requires software to either fill in pixels or remove pixels. But if the image ‘looks good’ it is ‘good’. Even with my older D30 I have several 20X30 (inches) images that look great. Of course, more flexibility with my D60 just because there is more data to manipulate….above all … have fun!
